Description
This unique archival set features an original post-war signed photograph and handwritten letter from Karl Kreutz, a former German officer who served during the Second World War. Kreutz held the rank of SS-Sturmbannführer and was a member of the Waffen-SS, notably serving in the 9th SS Panzer Division “Hohenstaufen.” After the war, he was held as a prisoner by Allied forces and later repatriated.
The set includes a black-and-white portrait photograph bearing Kreutz’s original signature, a dated and fully handwritten letter addressed to a U.S. recipient, and the original postmarked envelope. All components remain in excellent preserved condition, with clear handwriting and legible content that reflect personal reflections in the post-war period.
